GOLDEN TOAD'S FIRE GRILLED SHRIMP BOMBS
Ingredients
- Golden Toad’s BBQ Finishing Sauce
- Golden Toad’s Prime Steak Rub
- Kielbasa Sausage – cut into 3/8” discs (cut just a little larger than the thickness of your shrimp. We use Hillshire Farm's Polska Kielbasa)
- Shrimp – 31-40 count or larger, peeled, detailed and cleaned
- 10"-12” Bamboo Skewers
Preparation
- Soak skewers in water.
- Defrost shrimp and season with Golden Toad’s Prime Steak Rub. For our bulk recipes we use 2# bags of shrimp and 2 TBS Prime Steak Rub. A 2# bag will make about 15-20 Shrimp Bombs.
- Skewer kielbasa and shrimp. Start with a kielbasa and alternate until you have 4 or 5 of each on your skewer.
- Heat your grill to high. I like charcoal, but gas works for our Shrimp Bombs as well.
- Place Shrimp Bombs on grill (uncovered, without sauce yet) and cook for approximately 5 minutes (look for nice grill marks on the kielbasa). Turn and continue to grill for another 5 minutes looking for nice grill marks. The secret is a hot grill. Now turn and start brushing with Golden Toad’s BBQ Finishing Sauce. Continue to turn every couple minutes brushing with sauce as necessary until shrimp are cooked through and sauce is caramelized. Total cook time should take anywhere from 12-20 minutes depending on your grill and the weather.
